Definition
The thesis that public software companies caught between slowing growth and incomplete profitability need a refounding-level choice: either build AI-native products that materially reaccelerate growth, or restructure the company around high true operating margins. In this KB, the topic is useful less as public-market advice and more as a pressure map for where incumbents are exposed and where startups can attack.
